My name is Daniel Villalobos, and I am a Chicago-based designer specializing in editorial and branding design. My work is driven by a deep appreciation for storytelling, typography, and visual composition, aiming to create impactful and intentional designs. I see design as more than just aesthetics but a tool for communication, a way to bridge ideas, and a means to amplify voices. Whether it is designing a publication layout or developing a brand identity, I prioritize structure, hierarchy, and clarity to create work that is both engaging and effective. I draw inspiration from the real world, infusing my work with authenticity and connection.

Impact is central to my design philosophy. I believe that design has the power to shape narratives, influence perspectives, and preserve stories that might otherwise go unheard. My work is not just about making something visually compelling but about crafting experiences that resonate with people. Through thoughtful typography, bold compositions, and strategic design choices, I aim to create work that leaves a lasting impression.

In addition to design, I also create a lot fo screen prints. I find myself implimenting a lot of my skills and tools used for design into printmaking but instead of telling other people’s stories, with printmaking I share my stories. Especially about who I am, what I am into and who/what I value.
