sumingising magazine is a contemporary digital gallery/magazine and literary space for emerging creators to show their work and also connect.
When asked to design their logo, I took inspiration from the magazine’s name. Sumingising, means to rise in Ilocano (language in the Philippines), and is often to refered to the rising sun. Wanting to convey that rising sun, I took a tribal design-like style when desiging the logo since tribal designs represent heritage and strength, traits that the artists showcased in the magazine represent.
